Webmaster its time for a new picture!!
I was born in Parma November 7, 1946 and was thinking of coming "home'.
I am trying to locate both Charles Ward and Hugh Jenkins. I am making a list of our Parma High School Class of '51 and have been unable to locate either of these classmates. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Please call at (636) 933-9231 or write to me at:

PLEASE GUYMEN, KEEP OFF, I DON REACH HERE
My mother, Ruth Goodwin Duncan, was raised in Parma. I wonder if there is a history of Parma available or maybe a history of the First General Baptist Church. I was told her father, Albert Goodwin, raised money in the community to build the church. My Grandmother, Nellie Gore Goodwin, has relatives in the church cemetery. I would appreciate any family information. I have tried calling the church but have not made any contact. Thanks for any info.
the street looks good great job.. hope to see soon
One of our dearest citizens has gone to be with the Lord. Dorothy was in an accident Monday afternoon at 4:15 p.m., she was flown by helicopter to Cape but passed away shortly after 7:00 p.m. Her visitation will be this evening at Watkins Funeral Home here in Parma. Dorothy was active in Parma, in her church and in our 1948 class activities. She will be greatly missed. George
i would like to be advised when the next home comeing will be class of 1950
I enjoyed seeing all you Guys again. Its been a long time . AS time goes by so do our lives. Hoping to see you GUYS again some day. thanks again Hubert Walls.
It seems like only yesterday that I was young running the halls of Parma High and now time has marched me almost 40 years away. I look back then and realize how simple life had been. I wonder where all my friends have gone if they are still in this world or gone the way we all must someday. I am sure that as all others have wish they could go back and do it all over again how life would be changed. Though then the times were tough we had peace of mind and a joy of life. Today it is a race with time, not enough hours in a day it is a race we shall lose in the end. All those that have touched my life has a place in my memory that I visit now and then but there shall never again be a year like 1965 for that is the that my race begin. Harry T. Davidson
I THINK THAT THE PARMA HIGH SCHOOL HAD THE BEST EDU SYSTEM OF ANY SCHOOL AROUND INCLUDING UP TO THIS DAY. THERE DRESS CODE AND CLASS RESPECT FOR BOTH BOYS AND GIRLS WERE THE SAME I WAS PROUD TO BE A PART OF THE SENIOR CLASS OF 1950 AND TO BE ONE OF THE FOUR SETS OF TWINS IN THE SENIOR CLASS. THANK TO COTTON MERICK OUR SUPER AND MR POWELL OUR PRINCIPAL ALONG WITH THE BUS DRIVER WHO WAS A MINISTER.
Only GOd could of brought this little lady into our lives we joke about what the name should be, the misfits, because she has done something no one else could do, keep us off drugs, in some cases she her persaution help some get off the drugs, she s such a tiny young person for God to have brought her to us, she lets us use our special gifts, so many churches that you come into, but one on one interaction never happens, not at A:B:C:M:E:Missions church sample: THE WAY SATAN COMES He comes in beautiful clothes, sparkles in his hair-with a fragrance about him heads turn everywhere.. His voice brings the notes of a trumpet beautifully playing jazz-standing on a corner pulling unspecting souls in as they pass.. His steps so perfect they barely touch the ground-winning us over as we find a need to follow this alluring stranger around.. He s so unspecting his beauty so pure-it ll be to late when we realize Satans here.. everything is fake, nothing is true-thats how he entices me and you.. every body wants a part of him, everybody wants some-it ll be beautiful but fake thats the way Satan comes............ by: patricia robinson the lifeteller2...9/03/02 9:00pm

Class of "58: You had a wonderful turnout for your reunion and I just want to thank you for being generous enough to let those of us '59ers share the time with you. It was great seeing all of you and finding out that no one had gotten any older! Those who planned it can certainly be commended for their efforts. Thanks again for the pleasant hours spent with you. Hope to see you all again next year at the Down Home Days.

Regrets in not being able to attend this years celebration. Hi to all my friends and classmates of '59. Hope to be there next year with bells on.
Thanks to all those in Parma who work tirelessly to 'put on the dog' so festively each year. Please keep up the good work as I hope it continues all of my lifetime.
Thanks to the Tinman, Not the Tinman and others who articulate so well their memories of Parma enabling all the rest of us to walk down memory lane with them and remember our own memories of a grand time in an awesome town with many remarkable residents.
When I tell persons I meet of the town I grew up in, the great atmosphere, they are awed by the closeness that we maintain over the years. One of them said recently: one of the major TV networks ought to do a story on Parma, its residents and former residents.
Hope to see you next year.

Hope to be able to make it there for Down Home Days one of these years. WEll have a great time and God Bless Everyone from my home town. And HELLO to the Classmates of 1981.

If I could suggest, please change the picture on the home page. I think a different picture of the town each week would be great.

Gee,,, I was messing around and looking at a page on SE Missouri and all the towns and there was Parma... I was stationed at Malden Army Air Base for C-47 training, and on several occasions was in Parma at the Lacy's. I think it was Pat Lacy, not sure... one of my friens dated her, I think. Anyway, loved the pictures of the flags on the downtown street.. is Lacy store still there?? John
Hi Joyce, In addition to Parma, Missoiuri, there is also a Parma, Ohio and a Parma, Idaho. They are nice little cities. Some of the residents of Parma, Italy have communicated with us and like our web site. Hope you do and have a great Independence Day. George Husted
Had no idea there was more towns than Parma, Italy.

I was born in Parma in 1927 and attended school there from my first grade in 1932 through 1942, and would like to hear from any old class mates or anyone who knew my sister Louise McMullin who graduated from Parma, or anyone who knew my parents, James C. McMullin and my mother Annis McMullin.
I am plannng to be in Parma for the celebration this year. Looking forward to seeing old friends and renewing acquaintances. Have lost earlier e-mail addresses so would like to hear from former classmates.

For the second time in as many years, America's "BIG STICK", the USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT (CVN 71) is returning from war duties. Her performance in Operation IRAQI FREEDOM was just as outstanding as her performance in Operation ENDURING FREEDOM, flawless. This time though, the deployment was unannounced. We left 06JAN03 for 6 weeks of training but ended that adventure after just 4 weeks to answer the President's call. For a while we thought we would be there until October. This adventure was especially hard on the crew and the families back home because unlike normal deployments, there was no chance to prepare everyone/everything for a long deployment. The kids understood a 6 week goodbye but then, all of a sudden they find out it might be 9 months. I have 30 kids working for me here, all but one are under 30 yrs old. The average age in my division is 24 yrs. Our job is to defend the ship should it get attacked so they had to man all fire control systems, 24/7, for the whole deployment. They are young and need a rest so you can imagine how a 42 yr old might feel. This should be my last one. I will leave it to the younger generation.
Looking forward to seeing all the old gang and hoping many of the old Jets will come home too. Would love to see Don & Libby Tinker, his sister Iris, and brother TA Tinker. They have not been there in several years. Any one that has a contact there please let me know. Thanks, Tom
Got the reminder. Plan on being there and attending the Class of 1958 reunion.
I always enjoy my visit to Parma for the annual event.
I plan to be there again and looking forward to it.
Hoping to be there in July also Joe and Yvonne Moore are planning to attend.
Thanks for the card. My mom and I are looking forward to seeing many friends again this year. Hope the class of '58 has a good turnout for our 45th reunion!
My name is Betty Sue Champlin, formerly, Betty Sue Walker. I graduated from Parma High School in 1959. I am now retired and married to Bob Champlin. We live in Cedar Hill,Missouri, about forty miles from downtown St. Louis. I retired from Procter and Gamble last June. My husband still is working there and that is where we met. He is also a 22 yearveteran of the Air Force. My twin sister is Sarah Lou. She lives with her husband, Donald Albert Henson, in Casey, Illinois. They are both retired. We also have a kid sister, Clara Whu. She is married to Phillip Hyde and they live in Mountain View, Arkansas. Clara works as respiratory therapist in Mountain Home, Arkansas, and Phillip is retired. When we were in Parma, we were known as the Walker Sisters and we sang for the church and school as well as on the radio. We used to live with our grandparents, Mom and Dad Tucker. Their names were Jesse James Tucker and Olga Mable Tucker. Jesse J. Tucker used to have a bakery in Parma, and then worked as a ginnier at Gee Cotton Gin. The overseer was Mr. Gale. I have never been back for a class reunion as I've never known when they were going to be. However, because of your website, I now know when your Hometown Days are and my husband and I are planning on attending this year. I'm looking forward to seeing old friends and would love hearing from anyone who might remember me by e-mail or snail mail. My address: 6236 Cedar Brook Drive, Cedar Hill, Missouri 63016
Received my card announcing the 4th of July celebration; and Lord willing I will be there this year!

I am checking out this web page. My grandfather lived here in 1907. I wondered where is Parma, now I know. Thanks.
Looking forward to the July picnic this year. It's always good to see the old people. Class of 52
I graduated in 1978 with Mark Beaird, Sherry Ashley, Buddy Matlock, Steve Stewart and too many others to name. I am a 20 year resident of Olathe, KS. I am an Air Traffic Controller at the Kansas City Air Traffic Center. I am happily married to Joy Arnold of Wichita, KS and we have two fine son's, Brendan (15) and Cory (13). I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM ANYONE FROM PARMA THAT GRADUATED AROUND THE SAME TIME AS ME.
KEEP OFF
Hey, wonderful website. It's good to see the town on the internet. I was feeling homesick, but now feel much better. When will there be information about the July party this year?
This is about my third time signing in. I attended the July 4 bash in the yer 2000 and had a ball. I ran into a great many of my childhood friends which provided quite a treat. Having graduated in the class of 1935 means that I have been around for a while, but I believe I still have most of my "marbles."
Mayor Ramsey sent me a "Key To The City." which occupies a place in my den and a place in my heart.
I have some extremely fond memories of Parma dating back to the middle twenties and all the way through World War II when I returned home following flying as a B-17 bomber pilot in England, and becoming a Prisoner of War of the Germans. My mother Grayce Barney was still around at that time.
What priceless memories?
There are classmates out there that we have not been able to find for the class reunions we have had in the pass, if you are one and would like to be on our mailing list. Please contact me Harold Fleming P.O.Box 113 Parma,Mo 63870 or call 573-357-4618 You can also E-Mail my wife Verneta
Parma might be small but with the people who lived there when I did and for all the people that still do live at Parma make this town feel big and it's because of the kind of spirits the people of Parma holds close to their hearts. When you read the memories of so many people that has written on this website, it just gets the movie camera going for anyone that has lived in Parma. The memories we all share helps us all to remember just how much little parma has been to us all through good times and bad. So Parma folks if you are out there click on the the website of Parma and write down the memories of our-your home town. I think it one of the most interesting of stories to read about THE GOOD OLD DAYS AS WELL AS THE PRESENT ONES. FOR THE CLASS OF 1981 HELLO TO ALL OF YOU. I would love to see more of you on this website. Well keep up the good work Parma, because of all I read there is alot of good people through out this country that has once lived there and reading about their memories has been a joy to read and educational about my home town. Thank you. PS Hope everyone at Parma and those who once lived at Parma had a Great VALENTINES DAY.
To the residents of Parma; today is the birthday of your Mayor. Happy Birthday Daddy.
I clicked on the following place on the Parma Web site and there is a great photo of the Columbia crew, a place to read the Presidents speech, etc. I recommend going back to the top of our Parma Web site and clicking on: "Join Us In Praying For America" Sincerely, George G. Husted

I lived in Parma as a child until the age of 9. departed Parma in Nov. 1952 for California. Had a chance to revisit with family members in Malden and Risco during Christmas of 1961. Haven't returned to the area since that time, but, Parma will always be in me. Great website and thanks for sharing old memories. Charles
Just checking out this wonderful site and looking at your history pages! Great job!! My great-great grandfather, Peter Allen Ellis lived in this area with his son, John E. Ellis and family, shortly before he died in 1929. John was still here in 1930 in the Como area. By looking at your History pages on your website, I am able to "picture" life as it was then. Thank you so much for the wonderful visit.
