In the spring of 1996, Chem. Star opened its doors to supply the farmers of the
world a better product and to help them understand that fertilizers are needed
to grow today’s crops. Chem Star makes all types of fertilizers from
surfactants, to absorption Activators, to oil.
They also manufacture products
for household and garden plants.
Chem Star ships its products to all of the lower 48 states and eight foreign
countries. Chem Star has a packaging machine which includes a filling station, a
cap tightening station, and a rotating table for smaller bottles. Chem Star
fills many sizes of bottles from 2 ½ gallon containers to pint size on their
mechanized equipment. By hand, Chem Star can also fill 5 gallon containers. All
of the productions and products at Chem Star are checked and maintained at high
standards. Not only because of the pride of the employees, but also because of
the needs of the farmers, who require a better product. That product is made
right here in Parma, Missouri.
With the help of management, employees, the farmers of today and the farmers of
tomorrow, Chem Star will continue to grow toward a brighter future for everyone.

| The employees at both Chem Star and QMI display the American Flags on the
Main Street/Hwy D through Parma for he holidays. Shown here are Dick Wyatt and
Terry Kerr proudly hanging the American Flags. |
Chem Star Agri Products, Inc. office and warehouse. This is located at the
old Parma Lumber Company/Barton’s of Parma building. This building was purchased
in 1996. Owners are Robert (Bob) Baker and Quincy Murphy. |
 |
 |
On one wall, Terry displays the agri products that are packaged at Chem Star.
The display has the empty jugs with labels on them as they would be packaged out
as sold. The jugs are white with white lids except for the 5 gallon pails which
are packaged out, and they are brown. The different colored labels help identify
the different products.
|
Terry and Dick collect samples from each
batch produced in the warehouse. Also the process of specific gravity check is
preformed on the products. These gravity checks are accomplished to
assure the accurate weight per gallon of the product prior to shipment. |
Production Procedure
Jason Brannon is on the filling station and lids, and Dick Wyatt and Terry Kerr
are boxing and stacking. Synurgize is being packaged for AgXplore, another
company here in Parma. Synurgize is an absorption activator, an excellent
fertilizer which enables the plant to be more receptive for the photosynthesis
to assimilate the nutrients.
 |
 |
| Terry is working on the assembly filling line in the
warehouse. This is where
the packaging of products is accomplished regardless of the container size,
other than the bulk containers. Then they place the jugs in boxes and on
pallets, and shrink wrap completed pallets for shipment. |
Jason Brannon is monitoring the correct
liquid levels on product in the containers. This is part of the assembly
line in the warehouse where the packaging of products take place. Labels
are placed on the containers before they are put on the assembly line.
After the containers are filled to the correct level, they place the
lids on and place the containers into the boxes. |
 |
 |
| This part of the assembly line is where the filled 2
½ gallon jugs of Synurgize is coming through the cap/lid tightening machine. |
The Synurgize containers are exiting the cap/lid machine. Last process before
placing into the boxes for shipment. |
 |
 |
 |
| Dick and Terry are at the end of the
assembly line where the Synurgize is
completely packaged then the containers are packaged into the shipping boxes. |
 |
 |
| Dick and Terry are placing the
boxes/cases of finished Synurgize onto
pallets, ready for shipment. |
 |
| The empty 2 ½ gallon jugs, staged in the Chem Star
warehouse waiting to be filled.
By day’s end all of those will be filled and again on pallets to be
shipped to all of the lower 48 states and eight foreign
countries. |
